During the programme ‘Seeking Conviviality’ and the work on ‘Diaconal Life in Diversity’ more than 70 diaconal workers have contributed to the resource material you can find here. This material is often available in different languages and provides a resource for the Learning Programme. Most sessions refer to this material which can be freely downloaded.

  • EN ‘Diaconal Life in Diversity’ Working with LGBTQ+ Young People in Vasteras (external link)This short video describes how a group of LGBTQ+ youth leaders developed a guide by young people, for young people to create awareness that it is alright to define oneself as both LGBTQ+ and a Christian.
  • EN 'Diaconal Life in Diversity' The Augustanahof Community in Amsterdam (external link)This short video introduces a new community being developed in a re-purposed church building. It contains flats, a small worship room and a community room and kitchen. The residents follow a simple rule and are open to people in the neighbourhood.
  • EN ‘Diaconal Life in Diversity’ - the church as a welcoming and safe space in Prague (external link)This short video describes the creation of a safe space where people can meet and relationships are built up between the local community and refugees and migrants, who lack other possibilities to encounter Czech people.

It follows the story of how the young people worked to create their own safe space.
